Privacy notice

Last updated 17 August 2026. In short: your PDF stays on your device, only the extracted text is sent to generate narration, we don’t keep that text, and your generated audio is stored privately against your account so replays don’t cost you minutes.

Who we are

LoudPDF is a product of Axiontex Technologies Ltd, company no. 17212330, registered in England & Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can reach us at support@loudpdf.com.

How LoudPDF handles your documents

This is the part most people want to know, so it comes first. When you open a PDF in LoudPDF, the file is read and its text is extracted inside your own browser. The PDF file itself is never uploaded to us.

To create the narration, the extracted text is sent over an encrypted connection to our narration provider, which returns the audio. We do not keep a copy of that text.

We do store the generated audio against your account, in an access-controlled private store, so that replaying or re-downloading narration you have already generated does not use more of your allowance or cost extra to produce. Only you can access your own cached audio. It is deleted when you delete your account, and you can ask us to clear it at any time.

Neither your document text nor your audio is used to train AI models, and our narration provider processes the text only to return the audio.

Because document text is transmitted for narration, please do not use LoudPDF for documents you are not permitted to process through a third-party service.

What we collect

Account data: your email address, and a password hash if you sign up with email rather than Google. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and basic profile identifier.

Usage data: counters we need to enforce plan limits — how many documents you opened today and how many seconds of narration you have used in the current period. These counters do not include your document content.

Billing data: your subscription status, plan, and renewal date. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

Support data: the name, email address, topic, and message you send through our support form.

Technical data: your IP address and standard request metadata, processed transiently to serve the site and to rate-limit abuse.

Why we process it, and on what basis

Performance of a contract: creating and running your account, generating narration you request, applying plan limits, and taking payment.

Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing abuse of the free tier, and replying to support enquiries.

Legal obligation: keeping records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes.

Consent: sending you anything optional, such as product announcements. Service emails (sign-up confirmation, purchase receipts, billing notices) are sent as part of the contract.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors, each acting on our instructions:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.

Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure) — account records, usage counters, and application hosting.

Our AI narration provider — receives the extracted document text solely to synthesise speech and return it to your browser.

Our transactional email provider — delivers account and billing emails from notify.loudpdf.com.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your document content to train AI models.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists and for a short period afterwards so we can handle billing queries. Usage counters are kept for the current and previous billing periods. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months. Transaction records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Document text and generated audio are not retained at all.

International transfers

Some of our processors operate outside the UK and EEA. Where personal information is transferred, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the processor's own technical safeguards.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these rights, email support@loudpdf.com from your account address. We respond within one month.

Deleting your account

Ask us to close your account by emailing support@loudpdf.com or by using the support form with the topic "Billing & subscription". We cancel any active subscription, delete your account record and usage counters, and confirm by email. Payment records that we must keep for accounting purposes are retained by Stripe and by us in the minimum form the law requires. Deleting your account does not refund unused subscription time or top-up minutes.

Security

All traffic to LoudPDF and to our processors is encrypted in transit. Access to account records is restricted to the people who need it to operate the service. Because document text is not stored, the most sensitive material you handle with LoudPDF is never at rest on our systems.

Children

LoudPDF is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the service changes. This version is dated 17 August 2026. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
